BirnePear compote

What you will need:

» 1 1/2 kg small pears
(Williams or Louise)
» 1 1/2 litres of water
» juice of 2 lemons
» juice and grated peel of 2 limes
» 5 Süssina Stevia
1g sweetener sticks


1. Pell the pears and cut into pieces of a size as desired

2. Put the water, lemon and lime juice, the grated lime peel and the Süssina Stevia powder together in a saucepan and bring to the boil.
Add the pears and cook until not quite soft, so that they will retain a little firmness on the plate when eaten.
Place the cooked fruit in pre-warmed glass preserving jars.
Bring the liquid to the boil once more then fill the jars to about 1 cm below the top and close at once.
Allow the jars to cool and cover with a dishcloth.
